Next First Year Course code 10.12.1 starts October 2012
Commencing dates: 10th - 14th October
There is a great need at this time for well-trained dietary counsellors, who are able to use an holistic approach taking into account people's whole physical, emotional health, life styles and life paths. To meet this need, Marijke De Coninck and Oliver Cowmeadow have designed a three year part-time professional training course offering a deep and comprehensive training in the science and art of healing with food, specific food remedies, teas and compresses, along with helping emotional and life changes.
This will also be a course of transformation for the students themselves. Through an understanding of their own physical health, students will be able to use changes in diet, lifestyle and special exercises to heal health problems and learn to maintain a high state of health. This course will also give a thorough understanding of the effect of our emotions and past experiences on our health and will offer ways of transforming old held emotions and stuck patterns.
The whole course will comprise a minimum of 720 hours of teaching with much guided practice and further optional activities. The first year of 240 hours consists of 7 long weekends spread over the year, with home study and practical projects to complete between modules. There are written and practical assessments at the end of each year. The first year can be taken on its own for your own self development or as the Foundation Year for the three year Professional Training.

Details of Talk '2012 - What it Means for Us and Our Planet'
Here we are entering the year 2012, long predicted to be a time of great change for the planet by Mayan and many other teachings. This year is seen as the apex in the culmination of the past 13,000 year half of the approximately 26,000 year cycle of the Earth's 'precession of the Earth's axis', and the beginning of a new age of 13,000 years. So what is this 'precession' stuff? It means the Earth has a big wobble, so that while the north pole almost exactly points to the Pole Star now, in 13,000 years it will have moved through the milky way (our galaxy) and be pointing in a completely different direction towards the star Vega. If you are a star gazer, have a look up on a clear night - it is truly amazing that our Earth will be pointing to a very different part of the sky!
And what does this mean for us? Many ancient cultures have said that the subtle energies received through the north pole region have profound affects on our individual consciousness, and that of humanity as a whole. During the last 13,000 years the pole has been pointing out into space, receiving less energy, so our lower chakras have been more charged by the earth, giving a more material and desire based consciousness. We are entering into the beginning of the 'light age', with the pole pointing towards the milky way, picking up far more energy, charging the upper chakras of the body. This raises our consciousness to consider the good of other people, our environment and planet, and to live in a more socially conscious way and to develop our own sense of spirituality and oneness.
I think if we look at the last 30 years of incredibly rapid expansion of alternative approaches to health and spirituality, environmental awareness, increased political freedom and global consciousness, it does seem that we are in the middle of a seismic shift in consciousness and the way we live our lives. For me this is a time to be part of the new wave helping the changes move forwards and not part of the old way of doing things based on material accumulation and power over other people. Lets be the surfers, not the rock in the river!
