Course Overview

Learn how to make seitan from scratch using vital wheat gluten, and discover how versatile, delicious, and nourishing homemade plant protein can be. In this class, you’ll move beyond processed meat substitutes and gain the confidence to create your own wholesome, protein-rich alternatives at home.

What is seitan?

Seitan is a traditional plant-based protein made from wheat gluten. Known for its satisfying, meat-like texture, it is naturally high in protein and incredibly versatile. When prepared from scratch using simple ingredients, seitan can be flavoured and cooked in many different ways, making it a nourishing and adaptable addition to everyday plant-based meals.

  • How to cook, season, and store seitan
  • Ideas for using seitan in everyday meals
