Advanced Shiatsu Day

Our spine stores energy for the whole body, and working on and around the spine affects all the meridians and organs. It holds a lot of our energetic and emotional memory, and releasing these can free up and bring new life to a person.

The spine is also energetically nourishing the whole body, so we can nourish all the organs and meridians through it, using the Governing Vessel, the Huatoajiaji points running down ½ -1 cun either side of all the vertebrae in the spine, and the Bladder meridians.

We will also be looking at the relationship between the points on the GV that relate to the seven main chakras, the relationship between the GV and the spine and the front of the body and CV, and also the lateral Side Points that connect with the spinal energies.

Working deeply on and around the spine, and these associated points, can help clients in a number of ways:

• To heal long standing back pains
• To shift deep stiffness and create more flexibility in the spine and in movement of the whole body
• To release old emotions and create more emotional freedom
• To help realignment of vertebrae – misalignments always have an energetic basis
• Improve posture
• Take people into their core energy, increasing their connection with their core being or we could say soul self.
• For people who are deeply exhausted, bring both deep relaxation and rejuvenation.
