Advanced Shiatsu Day

Deep neck and shoulder release

Having practiced in-depth work on the spine in the back in my June day, I want to progress to working on the spine and surrounding areas in the neck, to complete this work. Deep work on the neck using the Governing Vessel, Huatoajianji points, Bladder and other meridians and extra points has a profound affect on the energy flow in the whole body, in connecting and improving Ki flow between the head and the rest of the body which is so often blocked, in emptying the head of thoughts and stress, and calming the sympathetic nervous system and promoting activity in the parasympathetic nervous system. 

For many people the affect of this deep work takes people to a deeply relaxed, present state they have not experienced before. Some other useful affects include:

• Relax deep tension in the neck and head
• A general feeling of reduced stress.
• Reduced tension in the physical stomach, liver and intestines.
• Reduced over-activity of the vagus nerve.
• Better sleep.
• By bringing more Ki into the brain, clearer thinking.
• Stronger connection to their bodies, feelings and emotions.
• Improved eye sight.
• Reduced headaches.
• Working with whiplash.
• For some, to experience a ‘no mind’ state, and opening to their deeper soul self.

You dont need to have attended the June date to come to this day, as it also stands as teaching in its own right.

I would just like to thank you all for a wonderful shiatsu day. I have been out of the loop for quite a few years and I found that I was able to attend this advanced shiatsu training day focusing on the back. I was apprehensive when I signed up as I didn't know if it would fit me anymore ( some part of me feared that I had grown too far apart from it and would struggle to reconnect) 

I was pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome from both old familiar faces and new fresh ones. The day was both comfortable and inspiring and left me with a renewed sense of awe for the shiatsu process and a deep affection for the conscious souls who are drawn to it.   Oliver Cowmeadow brought an effortless wisdom to the class and shared relatable information in an amusing and thorough way. Greta assisted in a warm and open way that encouraged a collective participation. I left with more than I hoped for and will definitely be open to other future classes. Thank you again.
